In the depths of Woolwich dockyards, right where the Lane Cove River snakes into Sydney Harbour, something precious is getting a new life.
The patient is Wild Oats XI, a supermaxi yacht so awarded in the annual Sydney to Hobart that it has become nearly as well known as the race itself, owned by the children of the late businessman Bob Oatley.
