We’ve heard about dishwashers being paid $50 an hour; some even want $90. Now one of the country’s most luxurious resorts (try $3000 a night for two) is considering paying the airfares of trained New Zealand hospitality staff to lure them across the ditch.

Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley reopened to Greater Sydney at the beginning of last month, and occupancy is running at a healthy 80 per cent through summer for the resort’s 40 villas, located on the edge of the Blue Mountains in NSW.
