Vodafone Hutchison Australia has revealed it lost 275,000 mobile customers in 2019, in a full year result that exposed the depth of the problems the company faced outside a merger with TPG Telcom.
Chief executive Inaki Berroeta said the loss of customers, which pushed revenue down 2.8 per cent, was the result of a deliberate strategy not to grow market share for fear the company would run out of capacity to serve more customers.
