Veteran skipper calls for Sydney to Hobart rule review after deaths
A veteran skipper has called on Sydney to Hobart organisers to consider restricting entry into the prestigious yacht race to experienced sailors following the deaths of two crew members last week.
Antipodes skipper Geoff Hill, who has completed 21 Sydney to Hobart races after crossing the finish line in this year’s treacherous instalment, questioned why there are pre-qualifier rules for the boats but not the sailors.
