Novak Djokovic is one step closer to an 11th Australian Open championship after knocking out plucky American Taylor Fritz in four sets.

Djokovic has long sailed past Roy Emerson and Roger Federer’s previous record of six titles at Melbourne Park and will take on the winner of Jannik Sinner and Andrey Rublev in a semi-final in his bid to keep the next generation of stars at bay.
