The AFL is scrambling to keep the relaunch of their 2020 season on track, after South Australia Premier Steven Marshall backed his Chief Public Health Officer refusing to grant their state's players any exemptions.
Western Australia – which like SA is refusing to exempt the AFL on mandatory 14-day quarantine rules – did budge on Thursday to allow the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers access to club facilities from May 18, with full training to be permitted seven days later.
