Rich Lister Brian Flannery did not think he would own another horse until his wife suggested it three years ago.

The mining billionaire had bought several with his friends in the 1980s when he worked in coal, but for decades he opted to attend the races rather than spend big on the animals. That was until his wife Peggy told him and his sons – Tyson and Quentin– to find something new to talk about.
