‘Devastated’: De Minaur forced to quit Wimbledon with injury
London | Heartbroken Alex de Minaur has had to pull out of Wimbledon with a “unique” hip injury, withdrawing before the biggest match of his career against Novak Djokovic to save his season.
Just hours before he was due to play seven-times champion Djokovic on Centre Court in his first quarter-final at the All England Club on Wednesday, Australia’s No.1 had to admit defeat to the painful injury which he has been told could sideline him for between three and six weeks.
