In a season disrupted by COVID-19, it’s perhaps no surprise that the NRL’s grand final weekend will be played out under the shadow of the virus.
On Friday, the Queensland government left open the option of putting Brisbane into lockdown on Saturday or even Sunday, when the Penrith Panthers and the South Sydney Rabbitohs are scheduled to play the grand final at Suncorp Stadium.
