The National Rugby League has started the season with only a handful of unvaccinated players, but the coronavirus is still stalking the 2022 competition.

Two of the game’s biggest off-season signings, Brisbane Broncos captain Adam Reynolds and Cronulla Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon, were forced to miss games on Friday night after contracting COVID-19.
