Star Entertainment has asked for a reprieve on payments owed on its sponsorship of the Brisbane Broncos after falling behind schedule amid attempts to stave off collapse.
The ASX-listed company, which runs casinos in Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, signed as the major NRL club’s back-of-jersey sponsor in 2022, with a five-year deal that is worth about $1.5 million every season.
