London | Ash Barty crouched down and wept on centre court after “living out the dream” with a Wimbledon title secured in three see-sawing sets.
After closing out her encounter with Czech rival Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 in one hour 56 minutes, Barty described the feeling of realising her childhood dream as “better than I ever could have imagined”.
