With most surveys confirming the smartphone penetration rate in Australia is well above 80 per cent it's no surprise phones are going to play an important role in establishing our digital identity.

Participants at the recent Digital Identity roundtable held in Sydney agreed the smartphone or a smart wearable device would hold the key to identity verification but the big question was what would be needed to be built into the devices to make them more secure.
