Shaver Shop chairman caught up in craft brewery woes

The chairman of ASX-listed retailer Shaver Shop has been caught up in the woes of the craft beer sector, which is battling to control rising costs and a drop in customer spending, leading to the collapse of some of the industry’s best-known brands.

Brodie Arnhold is a director and shareholder of Sou’West Brewery, now under the control of administrators KordaMentha, which is due to hold a creditors meeting on May 27. KordaMentha hopes to attract a buyer, and has 10 expressions of interest.
