Woolworths Group has named Origin Energy chairman Scott Perkins to replace Gordon Cairns to lead the board of the nation’s largest grocery retailer.

Mr Cairns was re-elected at the 2021 AGM but flagged that he would not see out the full three-year term. He will retire following Woolworths’ AGM on October 26.
