Prominent rag trade family pursued ex-KPMG dealmaker Jon Adgemis

Jon Adgemis is being pursued over alleged debts by Richard Gazal, the son of late rag trader Joe Gazal, the latest in a string of legal actions against the former KPMG dealmaker turned hospitality investor.

Mr Adgemis’ Public Hospitality Group, which has about 20 properties, has been struggling with cash flow problems and is saddled with high debts. The Australian Financial Review’s Street Talk column reported in November that Macquarie sold out of its exposure to the group.
