McPherson’s kicks off Geminder defence with new CEO
Takeover target McPherson’s plans to take more of its beauty and wellness brands overseas to reinvigorate sales and profit growth and fend off an “opportunistic” $172 million offer from Raphael Geminder’s Kin Group.
McPherson’s – which owns beauty brands Dr LeWinn’s, A’kin, Lady Jayne, Manicare, and Swisspers and kitchen products brand Multix – is undertaking an operational review to identify and prioritise growth opportunities and reverse a five-year decline in sales and earnings that has made it a target for predators such as Kin Group.
