Shoppers will be paying higher prices for home appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines in the coming months, but JB Hi-Fi boss Terry Smart says the supply constraints that are squeezing prices higher will be short-lived.
Mr Smart said retail price increases for this category of 8 per cent to 10 per cent had been implemented from January, and the retailer may not “be able to get everything we want” in terms of stock into its stores.
