The chief executive of lights, lamps and ceiling fans retailer Beacon Lighting says rising house prices in Australia should help push sales higher and add extra momentum to the big re-direction of spending to mini-renovations which has been under way for months.

Beacon more than doubled profits in the December half as people spruced up their homes with the extra cash that would have usually been directed to travel and eating out in the COVID-19 pandemic.
