Supermarket chain Coles has appointed former Ford general counsel Jenny Linsten as its code arbiter, succeeding Jeff Kennett who resigned from the role after nearly a decade dealing with supplier disputes over trading terms.

The former Victorian premier had been an independent arbiter under Coles’ supplier charter since 2014, before formally taking up the role under the revised Food and Grocery Code of Conduct in 2020.
