Managers say the IPO is too riddled with cushy perks for insiders to offer value. Founder Steve Marks disagrees.
Steve Marks landed in Newtown, in Sydney’s inner west, at a time when few had tasted a real burrito. That was 2006, and the former New York hedge fund trader was arriving in the midst of a Mexican food craze that began with Zambrero, a year earlier, and included Mad Mex and Beach Burrito.
What he opened was the first Guzman y Gomez, with its trademark black and yellow logo.
