Rapid growth puts pressure on law partnership structures
The structure of Australian legal partnerships is changing as firms embrace salaried arrangements for partners, as a decade of growth puts pressure on equity allocations and ramps up competition for ambitious lawyers.
Almost two-thirds of new partners at Australia’s top law firms were appointed on a part or whole salary basis, according to data from the latest Australian Financial Review Law Partnership Survey.
