Three private equity firms will invest hundreds of millions of dollars in global management consultancy Argon & Co, as private capital continues to gain a foothold in professional services.

The deal, which involves buyout groups Bridgepoint, Carlyle and Ardian, is for about 40 per cent of the firm and is valued at close to $350 million, European sources close to the deal said.
