Obeid ordered to pay $5m in legal costs

Eddie Obeid, the corrupt former NSW minister and Labor powerbroker, has been ordered to pay over $5 million in legal costs for his failed challenge to the state's anti-corruption body.

Obeid sued the Independent Commission Against Corruption over the 2012 inquiry known as Operation Jasper, claiming he was unfairly targeted over a $30 million coal deal.
