High Court justice Robert Beech-Jones has warned that democracy and the rule of law is under threat from “the harvesting of outrage, grievance and hate” and “the perpetuation of lies on a grand scale”.
Justice Beech-Jones did not name any country or individual in his John William Perry oration in Adelaide late last month, delivered during the final fortnight of a tense US presidential election campaign.
