EY to review ‘culture, practices and safety’ after suicide
A review of EY’s practices after a staff member’s suicide will look at “workplace culture, healthy work practices and psychological safety” and be conducted by an external expert.
The accounting and consulting firm told staff about the review’s framework on Wednesday night, after a 27-year-old female staff member took her own life at EY’s Sydney office on August 27. The woman worked in the audit and assurance division, and EY has pledged transparency about its findings.
