Eminent is one of those words that people like to use when describing a lawyer. And it’s getting quite the workout during the debate over the Indigenous Voice to parliament.

Coalition senator Paul Scarr was at it again on Tuesday night, rolling off a list of seven “eminent jurists” who think the Voice is problematic.
