Brokers at RBS Morgans and Moelis were trying to raise $50 million for data centre operator NextDC on Friday morning.
Shares in NextDC, the listed company of well-regarded information technology veteran Bevan Slattery, was placed in a trading halt on Friday as the brokers got to work.
