When Roger Cook walked into The Australian Financial Review Mining Summit in Perth on Wednesday, the West Australian deputy premier had a message for the room, and the state.
“We have been down this path before,” he told the Summit. The implication was clear: Western Australia is once again wallowing in the rivers of gold flowing from its resources industries.
