With not three weeks to go before surrendering leadership of BHP, Andrew Mackenzie is making a final tour of the company’s major owners in the United Kingdom.

But this is not an exercise in glad-handing. Typically, Mackenzie means business. While his successor Mike Henry continues his listening tour of BHP’s operations, Mackenzie is stalking the halls of institutional London in defence of the miner’s determination to hang on to its membership of the Minerals Council of Australia.
