South32 has named Matthew Daley, an Anglo American executive with a strong background in copper, as its new chief executive to replace Graham Kerr, who has been at the helm since the company was spun off from BHP in 2015.
The diversified West Australian miner said Daley would join as deputy chief executive in February and take over the top job from Kerr later that year.
