Rio rocked by sexual assault charges at Pilbara mine

Rio Tinto is reeling from allegations that a worker in its iron ore operations sexually assaulted a woman and threatened her with a makeshift weapon at one of the miner’s accommodation villages.
The mining giant removed the man, who is now facing criminal charges, from the site over the alleged attack on a co-worker at an accommodation village attached to one of Rio’s mines in the Pilbara.
