NSW idle in pragmatic shift on coal: Glencore CEO

The NSW government has become an international outlier in its refusal to accept that coal will be needed through the energy transition, says Gary Nagle, chief executive of commodities giant Glencore, which is struggling to get approval for a 20-year Hunter Valley mine extension.
Mr Nagle said the rest of the world had shifted its attitude in recognising that coal could not simply be switched off.
