Magistrate to decide if alleged Kidman insider trader faces trial
A magistrate will decide next week whether Duncan Stewart will face a criminal trial for allegedly buying shares in lithium miner Kidman Resources using inside information.
Melbourne magistrate Rohan Lawrence will make the decision based on the fitness of evidence – presented during a three-day committal hearing – from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Mr Stewart’s defence lawyer, Ruth Shann SC.
