Jabiluka owner sues over axing of uranium mine permit

Energy Resources of Australia, the owner of the Jabiluka uranium mine, has lobbed a last-minute legal challenge against the federal and Northern Territory governments to overturn the NT’s decision to revoke its lease.
ERA, which is 86 per cent-owned by Rio Tinto, commenced proceedings in the Federal Court in an attempt to reinstate the licence on Tuesday.
