Tasmania's richest person, Dale Elphinstone, has had a great run with some of his stock picks in the past year.
While the bulk of the BRW Rich Lister's wealth is derived from his private Elphinstone Group, which is based in Burnie in the state's north-west coast and owns William Adams, the Caterpillar mining truck and equipment distributor in Tasmania and Victoria, Elphinstone also owns several listed stocks.
