Gold star Perseus goes $216m deeper into Africa

Rising gold star Perseus Mining has doubled down on its strategy of working in higher risk jurisdictions with a $C198 million ($216 million) scrip acquisition of an undeveloped gold project in Sudan.
Perseus shares have dramatically outperformed rival ASX gold miners like Northern Star, Evolution Mining, Newcrest, St Barbara and Regis over the past year, as its unfashionable strategy of working in Africa has started to bear fruit.
