Chris Ellison, the billionaire managing director of Mineral Resources, has quit as chairman of Delta Lithium just 14 months after taking the job.

Mr Ellison and MinRes lithium chief Josh Thurlow joined the board of Delta in September last year after the diversified miner acquired a substantial shareholding in the smaller explorer.
