Ten writes TV licence values to zero as losses balloon to $322m
Network Ten has written down the value of its television broadcasting licences to zero with the Paramount Global-owned business crashing to a loss of more than $300 million in its last financial year.
Newly filed accounts show that the broadcaster – backed by billionaire media moguls Lachlan Murdoch and Bruce Gordon until 2017, when it collapsed and was taken private – recorded a $322.1 million loss in the 12 months to December 31 compared with a $42.2 million profit a year earlier.
