Geoffrey Rush’s defamation battle with The Daily Telegraph will go at least one more round, with the paper filing an appeal that claims the judge appeared to be biased and awarded excessive damages.
The Sydney tabloid says the three-week Federal Court trial in late 2018 miscarried because of Justice Michael Wigney’s conduct and lists 18 grounds of appeal in its notice of appeal.
