SBS locks in Tour de France rights until 2030

Max Mason

SBS has locked up broadcast rights to the Tour de France, extending its agreement for cycling's peak event for an extra seven years through to 2030.

Sources told The Australian Financial Review the extended agreement will see SBS pay about $2 million per year, on a sliding scale, starting low and moving higher over the life of the deal. SBS declined to comment on the cost.
