Australia’s richest person Gina Rinehart has backed disgraced soldier Ben Roberts-Smith and refused to confirm or deny that she helped fund his failed defamation appeal against Nine newspapers.
The three judges of the Full Federal Court on Friday unanimously ruled to dismiss Roberts-Smith’s appeal against an earlier finding that threw out his claim to have been defamed by reports that he committed murder during deployments to Afghanistan.
