Paramount’s Network Ten snaps up three regional broadcast licences
Paramount Global’s Network Ten has picked up three major country broadcast licences from Southern Cross Media, almost three years since a sale by the regional television and radio group was first flagged.
Southern Cross expects to be paid between $15 million and $20 million in a revenue-sharing deal as part of the sale and could receive more if the licences are handed back to the government as part of proposals to reshape how broadcast works as streaming becomes more dominant.
