Cinemas and outdoor advertising hurting from lockdown, says PwC

Australia’s entertainment and media sector is showing signs of a strong recovery after a decline last year as a result of the pandemic, says PwC, with cinema, live entertainment and out-of-home advertising likely to feel the brunt of the current Sydney and Melbourne lockdowns.

PwC’s Australian Entertainment & Media Outlook 2021 report says the pandemic “triggered the sharpest contraction in Australian entertainment and media revenues in the history of this report”.
