The majority of The Australian Financial Review's readers want the Morrison government to stimulate economy to offset the downturn caused by the global coronavirus crisis, regardless of the hit to the budget bottom line.

A survey of 496 readers also revealed that about three-quarters, or 73 per cent, are also sceptical that last week's interest rate cut by the Reserve Bank to a record low 0.5 per cent will be enough to help the economy weather the pandemic.
