Labor urged to add polystyrene tax to plastics plan

A federal tax on polystyrene manufacturers was needed to accelerate the plastic phase-out plan the Albanese government has inherited from the Morrison government.

That’s according to a Sydney start-up that is aiming to make Australian wool a mainstream substitute for polystyrene in packaging.
