Kerry Stokes’ Seven Group has missed out on a deal to expand its construction interests after BGC chose a different buyer for its cement division.
Seven Group had targeted the cement assets of West Australian-based BGC – part of the empire left by the late construction entrepreneur Len Buckeridge – to complement its $1.9 billion buyout of cement and asphalt group Boral.
