New French fossil fuel tax clips Atlas Arteria’s profit

Profits on Atlas Arteria’s lucrative French tollroad have been hit by a new transport tax charged on companies that are linked to carbon-emitting cars and planes, dragging down interim group profit.
Traffic on France’s 2318-kilometre Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhone toll road, which represents most of the company’s profit, was also hurt by farmers’ strikes, which closed roads in late January and early February.
