London | Britain’s water regulator has thrown a lifeline to Macquarie’s struggling utility, Southern Water, allowing it to increase how much it charges customers by more than any other company in the sector.
Ofwat on Thursday issued a much-anticipated ruling on how much 16 regional water companies in England and Wales could charge customers, pay in dividends, gear their balance sheet and spend on infrastructure for the rest of this decade.
