Labor vows to restructure toll roads to limit Transurban ‘windfall’
NSW Labor says it will restructure Sydney’s toll road network as fast as possible if it wins the upcoming state election to minimise any financial gains to toll road giant Transurban from a proposed $60 weekly fare cap.
Labor has pledged to refund Sydney car drivers every quarter if they spend more than $60 per week on tolls, which are soaring due to high inflation, from January 2024 for a period of two years if elected.
